OPC-UA with automatic data recognition
Autonoma's DCP now supports OPC-UA Server with automatic data recognition simplifies and speeds up the process of data collection and analysis.
This means OEMs can easily connect their machines to the DCP and collect data with just a few clicks. The process involves activating the Discovery module, which automatically detects and registers the OPC-UA server.
OPC-UA, short for Open Platform Communications-Unified Architecture, is a communication protocol that enables machines to exchange data with each other and with other systems in a secure and reliable way. Via an OPC-UA server on PLCs, all data points and semantic information such as SI units and descriptions can thus be read out immediately.
The process is straightforward: OEMs simply need to activate the discovery module, which automatically detects and registers the OPC UA server.
Once the server is registered, OEMs can select the data points they want to monitor and specify the interval at which the data should be collected. The data is then automatically displayed in an overview that makes it easy for OEMs to analyze and interpret the information.
n addition, both unencrypted and encrypted queries (via password or certificate) are supported.
OEMs can thus select the data points they want to monitor and specify the interval at which the data should be collected. The data is displayed in an overview that makes it easier for OEMs to analyze and interpret the information.
In summary, Autonoma's new OPC-UA with automatic data discovery is an exciting development for the industrial sector. With the ability to collect and analyze data more easily, OEMs can reduce the burden on their IT and innovation management can change and adapt PLC-IoT data streams on their own, without further IT support.
