Setup own mailserver (SMTP or API sendgrid Azure)
Custom mailing server
With a custom mail server all mails (notifications, invitations, ...) are sent through your mail infrastructure.
SMTP
Step 1: Create a mailbox
A custom mail box with a designated user is needed to allow the Autonoma platform a restricted access to your sending grid.
An IMAP account with SMTP credentials are needed for this to work. The following informations are needed:
- Server: The IMAP server endpoint of your mail provider
- Port: The port that is used to communicate with your mail provider
- Encryption: We recommend using encrypted mails, for this the option can be either: None, SSL, TLS
- User: The username to access the mailbox
- Password: The password to access the mailbox
- Sender mail: The mail address that will be used. It is recommended to use the same domain that is used for the platform (e.g. info@my.example.com)
- Sender name: The name that will be used to send the mails
Step 2: Submit the credentials to Autonoma
Sensitive information
Please provide this information through a secured channel (e.g. 1password or similar)
Write a short mail to office@autonoma.cloud or your responsible contact so we can check the accessibility.
Step 3: DKIM and SPF records
DKIM and SPF records are important to guarantee the mails will be delivered to the recipients.
Check if those records are set and configured properly.
