Edit data streams
Clicking on a data stream entry in the list opens the associated details or configuration on the right. From basic data, such as name or unit, to visualization and pre-processing of the data stream, everything can be configured here.

There are several areas for the configuration of a data stream:
General:
General data can be updated here. In addition, the type of the data stream can be changed here under "Type" (State, Number, ...).
Visualization:
Here minimum and maximum limits for the visualization of the data stream diagram can be defined.

States (only visible for data streams of type "state"):
For data streams of type 'state', integers usually arrive at the data stream as status values. Assignments for possible status values sent by the machine can be created for a textual representation. As soon as this assignment is defined, the textual representation of the status is always displayed for data streams of type "state".
Simulate
A data simulation for this data stream can be defined here. Values are generated and saved depending on the defined configuration. This can be useful if you are not yet receiving live data from the gateway.
As can be seen in the following image, there are various options:
- Random distribution: the values are generated completely randomly in the range between the minimum and maximum value
- Sine: the values are generated based on a sine curve, whereby the "cycle time" (i.e. the duration of an entire cycle) can be defined separately
- Sawtooth: the values are generated based on a sawtooth curve, whereby the "cycle time" (i.e. the duration of an entire cycle) can be defined separately
- CSV import: a file with demo values can be uploaded, which is used to simulate the data
